| An Embedded Software Engineer will be able to design and create all the
software needed for a microcontroller on a custom PCB, including bootloaders,
device drivers and ISRs. Draw on knowledge and experience of writing and
maintaining code in C and assembler for ARM, 8051 or similar processors, and
the design tradeoffs involved in microcontroller development. Start software
development from datasheets and schematics prior to receiving hardware, and
identify faults in hardware once it arrives. Supervise and mentor other
Software Engineers. Tertiary qualifications in the field of electrical
engineering or science plus at least 5 years experience developing low level
software for various microcontrollers. Experience and awareness of hardware
capabilities and functions and an understanding of the compromise between
performing tasks in hardware or software. Knowledge and familiarity with
hardware test instruments. Must be able to travel. |
