Our client is a growing global player within the IT services sector. They are looking to employ an experienced, Level 2 systems engineer who is able to work in their busy Auckland office for a three month contract.

You will need to be a customer focused individual who has the ability to work both autonomously or as part of a wider team. As well as possessing clear and concise communication skills, you will need to have an understanding of service delivery and change management, be able to anticipate issues in customer environments and identify associated risks coupled with the ability to think long-term when deploying solutions or fixes. It is preferred you have around five years previous IT support experience. There will be travel to client sites so you will need a current, full New Zealand drivers licence.

The technical skills we are seeking include:

  • Windows server 2008 +
  • Active Directory / DNS / Group Policy / Sites and Services
  • RDS
  • Exchange 2007 +
  • Cloud services (Azure 365 AWS Exchange Online Dropbox etc.)
  • Backup
  • Medium to Advanced networking
  • Storage and Server hardware
  • Hypervisors (Hyper-v VMware)
  • Scripting
